It is a very sweet and balanced tone, and it is very resonant (it doesn't require a lot of force to get the guitar to project the way you want)ĭon't take my word for it. The sound of this guitar most certainly lives up to the Yairi name. Not too chunky like a lot of vintage acoustics, and very smooth all the way up. Also, the neck shape itself is perfect in my opinion. It stays in tune and is ready to play when you are. Regarding playability- the guitar is setup with low action (see picture), perfect relief in the neck, no buzz, and proper intonation up the neck. Given this, $700 for this gem is an unbelievable price. You can find sold listings of these guitars in worse condition and without the original case for $500-650, and the ones in better condition with the case go pretty consistently for $795 ($800 range). There are maybe one or two microscopic dings which obviously don't affect playability or sound. This guitar is in immaculate condition by any standards, and is almost 30 years old! As you can see by the thorough pictures, it is essentially a brand new guitar cosmetically. ![]()
